About Me

My name is Dr. Sheilagh Fox (she/they). I have applied for registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia. I am being supervised by a registered psychologist, Dr. S. Drake. To learn more about Dr. Drake, please visit their website: https://www.cedarburrowcentre.com/

Before I relocated to British Columbia, I worked in a university counseling centre near Salt Lake City, Utah. My official job title was LGBT+ Mental Health Specialist. About 90% of my clients were LGBTQIA+. As a queer person, this job was a dream come true!

I graduated with my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2021 from Brigham Young University (APA-accredited) and completed my predoctoral internship at the University of Utah Counseling Center (also APA-accredited). Although Brigham Young University is a religiously affiliated university, the doctoral training program I was in was 100% secular. I completed the rest of my graduate training in several outpatient settings across Utah, including university counseling centers, community mental health, and private practice.

My interests outside of work include being outdoors, painting, playing board games, accumulating house plants, and watching comedy. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
